A homeless shelter could soon be established in the region for those sleeping rough during the winter season.
The Salvation Army Copper Coast Corps (CORE) has shown interest in creating the facility, which would provide a place to bunker down for the night.
The shelter is set to operate during extreme weather responses, specifically the SA Housing Authority’s Code Red or Code Blue alerts.

This initiative by the Salvos is expected to significantly improve the living conditions of the homeless community in the region.
