A man has been arrested for numerous offences after a traffic stop Sunday.
Just after 5pm, police were performing mobile speed detection on the Eyre Highway at Gilles Downs when they detected a car travelling at 143km/h.
The driver, a 28-year-old Ceduna man, allegedly refused to submit to a drug test, refused to provide his personal details and refused to get out of the vehicle so was arrested.
Additionally, Police searched the vehicle and located an amount of drugs and a sword.
The man was charged with speeding, refusing drug testing, refusing details, hindering police, carrying an offensive weapon and possessing a controlled drug.
The man was refused bail and appeared in the Whyalla Magistrates Court yesterday.
