A cabinet meeting has been scheduled for October 21 in Whyalla.
Premier Pete Malinauskas announced the meeting late last week, saying the government would continue to monitor the ongoing issues with the Steelworks, work closely with GFG Alliance and stand by the Whyalla community.
GFG has assured progress is continuing to restart the Blast Furnace, with priority payments to be made to local suppliers and contractors.

Member for Giles, Eddie Hughes has voiced a significant loss of confidence in steelworks owner Sanjeev Gupta.
Hughes, a former steelworker himself, says the community is skeptical about promises of a green steel future.
