Changes Proposed For Two Local Libraries

Residents are invited to share their thoughts on the revitalization of the Port Broughton and Bute libraries.

Barunga West Council is seeking input for its Community Library Action Plan aimed at transforming the libraries into community hubs.

Proposed enhancements for both libraries include improved digital literacy support, an expanded selection of audiobooks, and changes to opening hours; as well as addition of author events, cozy reading corners, and tea and coffee facilities.

The BUTE library could also potentially be relocated to a more central and welcoming location.

Public consultation closes on Friday, October 25.
