Following yesterday’s cabinet meeting in Whyalla, GFG Alliance Chairman Sanjeev Gupta has issued a statement.
He says he’s pleased with the session with the Premier and Ministers and remains resolute in his commitment to Whyalla, while weathering the current industry-wide downturn.
We’re told there’s a plan in the works to get Whyalla back on track, with the first step being running the blast furnace at full production.

Mr Gupta also reconfirmed a green steel commitment alongside the State Government’s commitment to provide green hydrogen and infrastructure for natural gas.
