The 3G switch-off has once again been pushed back, allowing more prep time for local residents still reliant on the service.
The switch-off date for both Telstra and Optus is now 28 October, after which all devices on the 3G network will provide very little coverage or won’t work at all.
To check if your phone handset will still work after the switch, SMS the number ‘3’ to 3498.
