A 72-year-old man has died following a crash at Port Pirie South.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Abbatoirs Road shortly before 9.30 yesterday morning (October 17), after reports of a collision between a Mitsubushi ute and a cyclist.
Major Crash officers attended the scene to examine the circumstances of the collision.
The cyclist, a 72-year-old Risdon Park man, unfortunately died at the scene.
The driver of the ute, a 30-year-old man from Port Pirie West, was not injured and is assisting police with their investigation.
The death marks the 91st life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared to 57 at the same time last year.
