Barunga West To Offer More Food Assistance

In response to the increasing need for food assistance, Barunga West Council has partnered with community organizations to launch the Barunga West Food Assistance Plan.

Set to run until July 2026, the initiative aims to support individuals and families facing food insecurity in the region.

Emergency pre-paid food vouchers worth $20 or $50, are available at key local points including the Port Broughton Area School and the Uniting Church and can be redeemed at the local IGA, offering immediate relief to those in crisis.

Distributions are scheduled fortnightly.
