Concerns surrounding the safety of Wallaroo’s swimming enclosure are rising with increased shark sightings off the coast.
New netting installed in December is not adequate, according to the town’s Swimming and Aquatics Committee members.
Swimmers have reported seeing dolphins and a seal in the enclosure recently, and there’s fears it’s only a matter of time before a shark enters the area.

An application for development for a new jetty and swimming enclosure has been progressed by the Copper Coast Council.
