All three Viterra harvest regions are now up and running, with the first delivery in the central zone last week.
The first delivery of the 2024/25 season from the central region was wheat to Port Pirie and follows earlier barley and lentil deliveries in the Western region.
Gavin Cavanagh, Viterra’s General Manager of Operations, expressed satisfaction with the kickoff of deliveries across all regions.

He says they’ve been proactive in collaborating with growers to understand their crops and needs, particularly focusing on new lentil segregations, highlighting the increased lentil plantings statewide.
