Lead foot driver stopped on Stuart Highway

In the same week as two fatal car accidents on Stuart Highway, police stopped a speeding driver on the road on Wednesday, 26 June.

Woomera Police stopped the car at Oakden Hills when it was detected driving at 149 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.

The driver, a 26-year-old Salisbury North man, was slapped with a fine of $1734 for excessive speeding.
