CFS volunteers from several regional areas are heading to the United States today, including Peterborough Brigade Strike Team Leader Anthony Casey and Kadina Brigade Strike Team Leader Justin Baxter.
They’re set to lend a helping hand to firefighting efforts in the US states of Oregon and Washington.
Emergency Services Minister Dan Cregan says two CFS staff members will also be based in Idaho for the next 40 days.

“SA firefighters are highly sought after by international agencies and this is the first deployment to the United States since 2018,” Minister Cregan says.
