A man was arrested for drug and weapon offences following a traffic stop in Whyalla yesterday morning.
The 33-year-old local was pulled over around 2am for a mobile driver test, and police say he appeared grossly intoxicated.
A search of the man and his vehicle uncovered 5 g of methamphetamine inside his underwear, and a homemade taser, a hammer and prescription medication inside his blue Ford utility.
The driver was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, possessing illicit and prescription medication, possessing a prohibited weapon, and carrying an offensive weapon.
He will appear in Whyalla Magistrates Court at a later date.
