Get ready to shred some dirt because the Remarkable Epic Trail is now complete.
Brought about by the Department for Environment and Water and the District Council of Mount Remarkable, the trail is hoped to encourage riders to get out in Melrose.
The recent installation of two custom made bridges at Stone Hut and Wirrabara
means users can now tour regardless of weather conditions.
“Our Council has created is a quality compacted fine gravel trail that follows the
old railway alignment whilst traversing creeks, woodlands and farmland
providing stunning views of Mount Remarkable and the district” says Mayor
Stephen McCarthy.
The Federal, State and the District Council of Mount Remarkable Governments
jointly funded the $1.1m project.
The grand opening event is set for next weekend, Sunday, October 29 from 1pm.
