A group of teenagers have been arrested after multiple car thefts in Port Augusta this week.
On Sunday, 23 June, a car was stolen from a Port Augusta home, and police spiked the vehicle as it travelled towards Port Pirie on the Augusta Highway.
The three occupants of the vehicle ran, but two were apprehended, including a 13-year-old and 15-year-old boy from Port Augusta West.
Another two cars were stolen in the early hours of Monday morning, 24 June, and they were dumped.
Police located the three suspects – two boys aged 13 and one aged 15.
It will be alleged one of the teenagers from that group was the third boy who fled the scene of the earlier stolen car in Port Pirie.
All have appeared before the Port Pirie Magistrates Court.
