An opal heist landed two men in court yesterday, 13 June, charged with stealing thousands of dollars worth of opals, jewellery and cash.
It’s alleged a Coober Pedy business was broken into, and the thieves gained access to the safe.
The 33-year-old and 22-year-old were arrested when police identified them after an investigation.

They were charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, property damage and theft.
