Lewis Capaldi is one of the internet’s favourite celebrities. He’s charming, funny, and down to earth. He doesn’t ever come across as the usual “I’m a celebrity” type, which people adore about him.
While the last few years have been full of incredible highs for the Scottish singer/songwriter (his music has wracked up literally BILLIONS of streams) it’s also been full of dramatic lows, challenges and struggles with his mental health.
Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now takes us behind the curtain and gives us unprecedented access to the life of and rise of Lewis Capaldi from a scrappy teen with a viral performance to a Grammy-nominated pop star.
It follows a year in Capaldi’s life as he tries to balance his fame with his desire for normalcy, while also dealing with the pressure to somehow eclipse his wildly successful first album amid increasingly difficult mental health issues.

Capaldi told Netflix he was very hesitant to work on the documentary at first because there’s still quite a lot about his life that he likes to keep private, despite being seen as very open on social media.
“The thing about documentary is, you’re given a bit more leeway to talk about [your life] that’s not going to be sensationalised or taken out of context,” he told Netflix. “I was nervous, and still am.”
Capaldi took to Instagram on March 10 to announce the documentary with a hilarious video.
Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now will stream exclusively on Netflix from April 5.
